Contact Trail Compass
The fastest way to reach the editorial team is by email at hello@trailcompass.example. We read every message and respond to actionable ones — corrections, missing trails, factual disputes, or partnership inquiries from public-land agencies.
Reporting an error
If you spot a factual mistake on any trail page, please include the URL, the exact paragraph, and the correction with a source we can verify (a current NPS alert, a recent ranger statement, or a published report). We update guides on a rolling basis and prioritize corrections that affect hiker safety.
Suggesting a trail
Trail Compass currently indexes routes that appear in the NPS open trails dataset. If a route exists inside a National Park Service unit but isn't yet on the site, send us the name, the unit, and a link to the official trail description. We can usually have a guide live within a week.
Press & partnerships
For interview requests, data partnerships, or licensing inquiries, please use the same email address with "Press" in the subject line.
What we don't do
We don't accept paid placements inside trail guides. We don't publish "sponsored" trail lists. If you're representing a brand and would like to discuss banner-style display advertising in the designated ad slots only, please send a media kit.
